Controlled R

Hi All!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! This was the first weekend in a long time I had a break! Today was a PJ all day kind of day and I loved it! Last week was my last days of student teaching and I already miss it! So...I created these little activities that goes with the reading series my class was following! The focus is on the Controlled R spelled -ir, -ur and -er. I present The Twirling Girls!, Summertime Surfing!, and Soccer Team ER!

Each activity has word cards that are specific to the controlled r spelling, a game board, and a recording sheet! Head over to my TpT store to check them out!

The Oinking Cowboys!

Thanks to Scrappin' Doodles, I came up with this fun little activity that practices the oi and oy sound in words! The OInking CowbOYs! I made a pretty simple sort that has two sorting mats, 24 word card, and two coordinating worksheets! I created this to be used as a literacy center for 1st grade Houghton Mifflin Theme 9 Week 3! I think my cooperating teacher, wonderful next door teacher love it more than the students, but that is okay! Check it out here!

There is a basket filled with eggs and then in each egg was the letters for one of there spelling words for the week that they had to unscramble it! They all really enjoyed this activity! My Very First Post!

Hi all!

I am so excited to finally be joining the blogging world! I am currently a student teacher and cannot wait to have my own classroom! I have been getting a lot of ideas from blogs and I have been creating a lot of things for my students. I thought since all of you have been sharing with me that it would only be right to begin to share with you!

One of the things my class has been working on is retelling a story! I got a lot of great ideas online and I put my own spin on it! Enter Retelling Road!

I plan on making some coordinating worksheets! But, for now I am posting the question sheets on my TpT store for free! Retelling Road!
