Monday Made it and Giveaway Reminder!

Monday Wednesday Made it! I have so many projects that I want to share! I have seen Monday Made it over at 4th Grade Frolics for the past five weeks and I have been so upset at myself for not completely finishing any of my projects to share! I have my DIY teacher chair, which I hope to share next week?!?! For today I have a simple project...my version of name calling popsicle sticks! I have heard pros and cons of these and one of the biggest cons is that students pick up on the fact that once their name is called and goes into the "called on" bucket they are done until all of the sticks are called! Well...that is not going to happen in my class! My cooperating teacher had a wonderful idea! She put a dot on the top of the stick and started the day with all of the dots facing up. When she called on someone she would flip the stick and wall-ah no dot! My version has to deal with color! Red-ish pink and green! Like stop and go! So at the beginning of the day they will all start on green, GO!, and then as I call on a student I will flip the stick and it will be red-ish pink, STOP! Enough blabbering here are the pictures!

Hopefully these pictures help you understand! Oh and can you see the obsession with target! The bags I used to let the sticks dry and the bucket from the dollar spot, decorated with a little pink zebra duct tape! Woohoo! My first Monday Made it! Thanks 4th Grade Frolics for hosting this fun linky!

Oh and do not forget to enter my giveaway! $25 to Target and Spelling Pattern Fun from my TpT! Click here to enter!

  3. I am so doing this! Sometimes I'll call the same kid 3 times in a row! I'm all for keeping them on their toes but this can get a bit silly:)

  6. I just found your blog through Tara's linky. I do something similar in my room, but I end up with the sticks all over my table after being called. I love this idea!
